Directions: Take the Sea World Exit from the I-5 Freeway, make a right turn onto East Mission Bay Drive (see map below). Turn immediately left on to Fiesta Island Road and follow the ONE WAY road around the island until you see the SBYA and MYA sign (there will be Red. White and Blue Mylar balloons hanging over the sign until the heat warps them). We should be able to keep parking until 2~3pm. After that call Dale at 858-752-3842 for a report on parking.  After 6pm the police tend to close off the island from some exits.

Please BYOB and food for a BBQ or to share!  A little extra ice would help as well as chairs.  I have two green 9’ X 13’ sun shades that we’ll use and I have a USA flag on a 7’ pole near our position.  We should have a excellent view of the 10:30pm SeaWorld/Mission Bay July 4th fireworks and not so bad view of various other fireworks around San Diego at 10pm. Official kick off is from 9am to 12am (please not: this doesn't end at noon but 11pm~midnight that same day).

PLEASE BRING SOME WOODEN PALLETS IF YOU CAN!!!! Also if you can come out a little early to help hold our spot (taking turns to come in and out of the island) I'd apprecate it. I'll be waiting at the island from 12am Saturday night until 12am Sunday night to find a fire pit.
